Board of Governors
The Marpe Academy Board of Governors are the gatekeepers of the Academy.
The board helps direct the Institution’s strategy to ensure that Marpe Academy’s mission and vision guide all decisions; that the Institution’s reputation is preserved and continues to grow globally; and that the Institution’s financial goals are met. Each governor brings a unique perspective based on their professional experience in research, education, finance, law, heritage, emergency response, business, and other areas. We have a team of international experts.

Farai Nhende
An accomplished legal practitioner and development strategist with over 16 years of versatile experience across corporate legal advisory, high-profile litigation, organizational compliance, and project evaluation. Recognized for bringing creative, pragmatic solutions to everyday complex legal and operational challenges, Farai routinely advises corporate entities, non-governmental organizations, and individual clients.
Alexis Lubin
A Certified Accounting Professional (CPA), Alexis is a skilled and experienced professional with vast experience in Accounting. She has worked extensively with organizations managing complex accounting, taxation, auditing, and compliance needs for individuals, corporations, nonprofits, and government entities.
Rhonda M. Thomas
With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience, Ms. Thomas has successfully led complex public and private sector initiatives, managed multimillion-dollar programmes, advised governments and international organizations, and directed strategic transformation projects across engineering, social development, education, and institutional capacity building.
Our History
In 2023, Marpe Academy was designed to provide training and create staff members to work within the Marpe International group of companies. Individuals are trained to international standards; they can solve problems, are ethically sound and are able to add value to the organization. While we started with the area of Emergency Response and Safety, we soon realized there were needs in other areas for efficiency and effectiveness in delivering business. The lack of workplace readiness in potential employees was a real challenge.
As word spread and requests came, we expanded our program offerings and opened them up to the public. The high quality of training inputs to produce well-rounded and competent staff members has been maintained, with ethical professionalism being a critical part of the DNA of Marpe Academy.
